Netflix users are flocking to social media to praise “the best car movie ever seen” being released on the platform.

Ford v Ferrari tells the story of American car designer Carroll Shelby, played by Matt Damon, and British racing driver Ken Miles, played by Christian Bale.

The two represented Ford Motor Company in the 24-hour Le Mans endurance race in France in 1966, facing off against one of Ford’s greatest competitors.

The drama was written by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, and Jason Keller and directed by James Mangold, known for Indiana Jones and Dial of Destiny.

The film premiered on August 30, 2019, at the Telluride Film Festival and was released in US theaters on November 15, where it was considered a global success.





Made on a budget of $97 million, the movie grossed $225 million worldwide and also achieved an impressive audience score on Rotten Tomatoes of 98 percent.
